Manpower Engineering is Hiring a CAD Designer Near Pella, IA
Our client, a leading manufacturer in the machinery industry, is seeking a Designer (Machine Design) to join their team. As a Designer, you will be part of the Design Department supporting engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, effective project management abilities, and proficiency in solid modeling/design software.
Job Title: Designer (Machine Design) - 6 months Contract (potential to extend)
Location: Pella, IA
Hours: 6AM -3PM or 7AM -4PM
What’s the Job?
- Provide new designs and design enhancements for customers to meet product needs.
- Assist engineering technicians in welding, assembly, and testing of prototype designs.
- Create sketches or detailed drawings for prototype parts.
- Collaborate with Project and Design Engineers on design changes for production machines.
- Support service department and provide technical information for product release.
What’s Needed?
- Associate’s degree in Machine Design or related field with 3 years of experience.
- Ability to effectively manage tasks and projects to meet production demands.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in solid modeling/design software.
- Familiarity with production machine shop processes and equipment
